Pechora SDPP↓
Overall performance of JSC "Pechora SDPP"
The Pechora SDPP is situated 3 kilometers to the east of the city of Pechora (the Republic of Komi) on the right bank of the Pechora River. The region of the city of Pechora is characterized by a long (280 days) moderately severe winter and cool summer. The average annual air temperature is -2.6°Ñ.

The main type of fuel is a mixture of associated and natural gases. The associated gas is supplied from the oil fields of the Kyrtayelsky Deposite. The natural gas is supplied from the Western-Soplessky Deposite. The reserve fuel is of Ì-100 grade.
The system of circulating cooling water supply is of recirculated type, with a water-cooling pond, the water in which is made up with pumps from the Pechora River. The technical design for construction of the Pechora SDPP was developed by the Riga branch of the Teploelectroproject Institute. Construction of the SDPP was started in January 1974. Six power generation units with the capacity of 210 MW each were put into operation. The installed capacity of the Pechora SDPP is now 1060 MW.

Second power generating unit commissioned 30.10.80;
-
Third power generating unit commissioned 03.10.84;
-
Fourth power generating unit commissioned 30.06.87;
-
Fifth power generating unit commissioned 26.06.91.

The term of the sixth power generating unit commissioning has not been set. There 5 power generating units in operation including 3 power generating units with the capacity of 210 MW and 2 power generating units with the capacity of 215 MW
Each power generation unit consists of:
-
Stem generating unit ÒÃÌÅ - 206ÕË, steam-production capacity 670 t/h
-
Turbine-generator set Ê-210-130-3, capacity 210 MW, (units 1-3)
-
Turbine-generator set Ê-215-130-1, capacity 215 MW (units 4-5)
-
generator ÒÃÂ-200Ì, capacity 235 ÌÂÀ (units 1-3)
-
generator ÒÃÂ-200-2Ì, capacity 259 ÌÂÀ (units 4-5)
The cooling water system of the Pechora SDPP is operated on a closed-cycle basis through a water-storage pond. A natural depression in the lay of the land was chosen for the pond. It was filled with water from the Pechora River. The pond water is made-up through a pump station from the river. The discharge channel may be used for fish breeding.
There is a chemical processing department at the station, which supplies the SDPP with chemically desalinated water; it also provides water conditioning with the output of 300 t/h. Each power generating unit has a heating-water converter plant. The nominal output of this plant is 37.4 Gcal/h, and their total output is 187 Gcal/h.
The installed thermal capacity of the SDPP as of 01 February, 2005 is 387 Gcal. In addition to this, within the winter period there is a supplementary reserve of 24 Gcal/h from the starter boiler.
A main heat network 13 km long supplies heat medium to all the complex of residential and industrial buildings of the railroad district of the city and partially to the riverside district.
The Pechora SDPP is the prime producer of electric power for the Komi Republic: about 60% of the generated electric power falls on the share of the Pechora SDPP.
